About Us

The WGA was founded out of the members of the EMD or Elite Military Division. Our EMD administrator, PhxVyper, envisioned a community of gamers where an individual could play online games with friends/team-mates without the hassles and demands of a traditional squad. Wyrm, Polecatt, and PhxVyper set out to create the WGA. PhxVyper developed the core idea with collaboration from Polecatt and Wyrm and the EMD squad dissolved to create the WGA. Former council member Agent along with many esteemed EMD members including: LT Gump, Beachhead, Hollywood, Chemdog, Zsane, Solocom, and others joined the new WGA community.

The WGA recruited a handful of talent from the Delta Force Black Hawk Down community and grew modestly but remained a small group of friends who enjoyed playing games online and chatting on Teamspeak. Due to the resignation of two core founders, the WGA changed gradually from the original idea PhxVyper envisioned. Polecatt then took over the lead of the WGA and procured a new Teamspeak server, Forum, Domain name, and e-mail server for the members of the WGA. Due to the lack of direction and the need for more members, Polecatt initiated new rules and structure for the WGA.

The WGA is a place for gamers of all abilities to join and have fun with other gamers from all over the world. The WGA participates in a variety of games old and new and requires no mandatory meetings, practices, or traditional chores of a squad. For those interested in this type of activity, competitive squads can be created under a Squad Commander.

The WGA maintains a forum, two domains, an E-mail server, and a Teamspeak server. In time, the WGA would like to host a few game servers and include comprehensive resources for gamers on the website. In the spirit of PhxVyper's vision, the WGA will always remain a “community” for gamers and as we grow we will continue to proceed down the path he laid.
